Wiesbaden

#WiesbadenFacts

The Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden currently has around 290,000 inhabitants.

People from 167 nations live at the headquarters of the Federal Criminal Police Office, the Federal Electoral Administration and the Federal Statistical Office.

The ‘Nice of the North’ was once the summer residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II and was also known as the ‘Imperial City’. No wonder, as Wiesbaden is one of the warmest cities in Germany with its hot springs.

There are 14 ot springs in the city centre.

For years, cyclists in the city did not have it easy. In the meantime, Wiesbaden has not only given up the red lantern as the ‘least bike-friendly’ city, but has even risen to the top 10 as ‘Catch-up city of the year’ in 2020.
